Our newest style of nitrile glove has the advantage of an all-over matte-type texturing which improves grip, reduces slipperiness, yet has all the advantages of a nitrile glove.
Doc's gloves are 5-ml thick, made of blue textured nitrile and are lightly powdered. Thin and strong, nitrile has the advantage of losing it's "memory" in less than 10 minutes thus reducing stress on the muscles of the hands and acting, in effect, like a support stocking, stimulating but not tiring the hands the longer the glove is worn.
Nitrile is more abrasion and puncture-resistant than vinyl or latex but it has the advantage of disintegrating immediately if a puncture does occur, alerting the operator that the glove must be replaced.
Nitrile gloves are especially recommended for dairymen practicing the "Once Under" pre-milking procedure advocated by many veterinarians. The method includes a vigorous circular rub of each teat after pre-dipping which is very hard on bare hands. Nitrile gloves protect hands, reduce fatigue and help to prevent cracked dry skin.
Doc's gloves are worn once, then thrown away.
