Single bucket control head is 75.00 Dual bkt. control head is 85.00 (requires a few simple pipe fittings for installation). ---------------------------------------- Heavy Duty Axle/wheel kits for ease of moving pump around are also available for 75.00 w/o wheels or 95.00 with H/D wheels.
DAIRYLAND PORTA-VAC PUMPS ---------------------------------------- We also sell rebuilt Dairyland Porta-Vac pumps. These are tankless portable units very popular with Homesteaders and 4H'rs.

All Dairyland models come with control head, owners manual, replacement parts list with prices and order forms and written guarantee.
MICELLANEOUS TRADE-IN VACUUM PUMPS ---------------------------------------- We also frequently have trade-in pumps on hand which range from single bucket capacity to 10 or 12 bucket capability and range in price from 400.00 to 1800.00. We don't list Trade-in, Refurbished or Used vacuum pumps on our website as they pretty much sell fast as we can get them. We do list them at times on ebay auctions under user ID farmauctions. We will be putting a selection of factory new vacuum pumps on our website later this month. At the current time we have 4 Surge pumps, 6 Dairyland Porta-vac pumps and 2 trade-in pumps being serviced/repaired. We can't promise delivery on any of these as availability is dependant on the amount of work needed and delivery time of ordered replacement parts. ------------------------------------- If you are interested in anything mentioned above, feel free to email us directly at farmauction@prodigy.net We can review your needs to match up a suitable pump then provide price quote with est. ship date.
Thanks Bill

We have a electric portable milking machine we bought this past summer. Guess we should have checked it out before we needed it. The machine has a surge vacuum pump Model 7016 Type BB2. My questions are: is there a maual for this model? We get pressure when we have the valves closed but when we open the valve to the machine we loose pressure, do you have any idea what the problem might be? Or things we should check to see if they are working right?
Thanks, Holly
RE: Holly If your BB2 pump builds good vacuum with the valve closed, but looses vacuum when valve to bucket is opened, the problem most likely is with your bucket.
Most common leakage areas are: . Check valve (under pulsator) missing or rubber tip. Replace if hard, dried out or missing. O-ring (also under pulsator on newer style buckets) Replace if hard, dried out or missing. . Lid gasket. Replace if hard, dried out or missing. . Bent milk tubes on lid (tubes extending from lid that you connect the inflations to). With inflations removed, look across tops of milk tubes, if one is bent it will be different height than the others Carefully use a small pipe that fits snugly over milktube and gently bend tube back. Careful though as tube can easily break loose from lid. . Sprung milk spout on bucket or sprung lid, not allowing lid to seal to bucket, allowing vacuum to escape. Sadly, not much can be done with these, best to replace, but sometimes turning the lid gasket upside down will help seal off bucket. There are also special lid gaskets made for this problem which work if damage is minor, they are thicker than the regular lid gasket and help seal off small air gaps between bucket and lid. . Damaged inflations. Replace . Severe scoring on pulsator block (under slide valves) allowing vacuum to escape. Have block and slide valves resurfaced. Hope this helps

Hi, My family and I are in a bit of a spot. We have around 75 dairy does due to freshen between now and May, but we have no milking setup! Long story.....So anyway, we need something portable to get the does milked. We have a bulk tank with all we need to cool the milk, we just don't have a pipeline setup. What would be your reccomendation for something portable we could use?? Thanks for the help,
Emily

Which pulsator do I need for my surge milker?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions we get. It's sometimes difficult to explain so here's a reference photo link to help explain. If you have no pulsator to compare, view the second pic to compare with your lid to match the correct pulsator.

We are researching what we will need to milk one Dexter cow for our family. We are not planning on purchasing until next Spring.
Can you tell me what equipment we will need. We are wanting an electric milking machine.
Thanks for your time. Blessings!

Hay Surge guy,
Got a question about a pulsator on a belly milker. I have all kins of vacuum at the cups, can even adjust the pressure up and down. There is no pulse from the pulsator. If I manually move the front piston it will cause the rear to move. I dissasembled the unit and blew threw all of the passages and they seem to be open. I expected the unit to wear out over time but, not just quit. What did we do wrong? How can I fix this? Do I need a new pulsator? In other words, HELP?
