joevdo 1 post Feb 28, 2009 6:50 PM	I have an SP-11 vacum pump that we use in a maple syrup operation. When we started it this year, it becomes very hard to turn over and will stall the motor. when I turn it backward, it turns freely. I am looking for a repair manual and any suggestions as to what its problem is
lonefirdairy 4 posts Feb 28, 2009 7:16 PM	oil and a lot of it, fresh, sounds like you hava a sticking cylinder / valve. I use 3 quarts of ATF/Mercon3 in mine and change it every 6 to 8 months, (oil does not last as long in the winter as in the summer, moisture builds up in it and it breaks down faster)hope this helps William Lone Fir Dairy
