Bill,

I was recently given a Delaval RV pump head # 73.
I've taken it completely apart, cleaned and reassembled. Looks very sound.
Now the questions...
1) are parts / manuals still available?
2) aprox age / era?
3) can you briefly outline the componants necessary to make this a working unit? balance tank, guages, etc? - also, what HP motor is appropriate?
4) can you supply said parts?
I currently have all necessary buckets, claws, etc.

any advice, wisdom or thoughts would be very much appreciated. I am hoping this pump head can be appropriate for my 2 cows ( milked separately, not simultaneously ).

Bob

serial # 6307071 if that will help with aproximate age, etc.

### update ###
I've built a sled to mount the pump head and motor on. This will be a permanent mount in my milking shed. I've mated it to a 7/8 HP motor which works fine! I tried a 1/4HP motor but could actually stall that motor if I plugged the vacuum inlet and drew too much vacuum...hmmmmm. Guess that tells me the pump head is working. :)
for testing purposes I've used 5-30 wt non-detergent oil in the vane pump but I s'pect that isn't the best oil to use so will order some red oil from you soon.
I've been trying to call your shop for a couple of days with no answers... perhaps you are closed? vacation? ???

Anyway, I'll anxiously await your reply.

Thanks, Bob
